Bachelor of Product Design (Honours)
Programme Overview
The RUI Bachelor of Product Design programme will prepare future designers to this exciting career by exposing them to all the technical, creative and business aspects of product design. They will learn to address the challenges of turning ideas into user-friendly, interesting and desirable objects.
The programme covers the latest trends and technology, drawing, prototyping and development of products in digital platforms. The main focus of this bachelor degree is on the job market. Students will be required to give input in projects from day 1 and will be exposed to real life situations in their three (3) Major Studio projects as well as a compulsory internship.

Career Opportunities:
Design Consultant, Furniture Designer, Design Educator, Lighting Designer, Electrical Product Designer, Model Maker for Commercial Studios, Environmental / Spatial Designer, Toy Designer, CAD Designer, Public Space Designer.
Entry Requirements:
• Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with 2 subjects in principal with minimum CGPA 2.0; or
• General Certificate of Higher Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) with minimum CGPA 2.0; or
• Pass Foundation/Diploma/Advance Diploma in related field from any Higher Education Institution (HEI) with minimum CGPA 2.00; or
• Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC-Senior Middle Level) with minimum grade B in 5 subjects; or
• Any other qualification which is equivalent and recognized by the Malaysian government. And
• Pass drawing test and interview conducted by RUI Academics. And
Achieving English Competency as follows:
• Bachelor Degree in English Language; or
• Pass International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with minimum level of Band 6 or equivalent; or
• Successfully complete English programme at RUI as approved by the Academic Board.
